Geoff is also a Campus Director and Firearms Instructor with the Security Institute.  Needless to say, our professionalism and attention to safety is unrivalled.

How many players do I need to bring?

There is no minimum – you can even come alone!  For groups less than 18 players, you will need to join in with another group, as you need 18 players to start a game.

How many players can you cater for?

Up to 140 players in any session, although you will rarely see them!  Several groups can rotate separately on the field at any time.

Can I have a Private Session for my Group?

Yes. You will need to bring at least 40 players and request a private session when you make the booking so we can factor it in to our session plan.  Private sessions require a $32 deposit per person and are by prior arrangement only (Conditions Apply).

If I have less than 40 players can my group still play together?

Yes definitely! Some groups are made up of several smaller bookings – it just depends on the operational requirements on the day.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

Due to high demand, many of our weekend sessions sell out up to 3 weeks in advance. To guarantee your booking we recommend that you pay a deposit, as priority will be given to those groups. Conditions apply:  Please refer to our pricing and information on deposits and incentives.

Why isn’t the deposit refundable or transferrable to another day if I can’t come?

The deposit reserves your place on the field, your gun, equipment and most importantly your referees and reception staff. If you don’t show the deposit goes towards these costs.

Where can I visit to book or pay my deposit in person?

For friendly and personal service you can choose to visit either NPF in Blacksoil on weekends between the hours of 8am & 5pm or our booking office in Woolloongabba midweek from 8.30am-4.30pm. Alternatively, you are also welcome to book by phone and arrange your deposit by credit card, internet transfer, cash, money order or cheque (See Methods of Payment)

How many players will be in my team?

We prefer to run smaller groups from between 18 and 40 players (up to 20 per side) that way you can be certain you will receive the personal service and attention that we are renowned for. Of course, if you have over 40 players who want to play together, just let us know. We are flexible to suit your needs!

What happens during my Half Day Session?

After check-in, you will be issued with camouflage overalls and protective gear. Your Game Mangers will brief you on the rules and safety aspects of the game as well as safe operation of the guns. So that you will be confident using your gun before that game commences, you will have a chance for target practice at the shooting range. The Game Managers will then escort your group to the first playing field. Let the fun begin!!

How many paintballs will I use?

Paint usage varies greatly depending on the type of player you are.

Does it hurt?

When you’re in the thick of the action, your heart pounding and your adrenalin pumping, the excitement of the game far outweighs the sting of a paintball. It doesn’t hurt as much as you would expect.

How long does each game take?

Each mission goes for about 10 to 15 minutes, and then you move on to another concept field. You also have frequent breaks to keep your fluids up. Chilled sport drinks and bottled water are available to buy between the games. Please don’t take your wallets on the field – You can pay for any drinks or extra paint you use at the end of the day.

Will I be the only beginner?

Because paintball is a fast-growing sport, the majority of players in our standard sessions are novices. We do conduct separate social / training days for members and players who are serious about the sport, so you can be confident that you will not be competing against experienced players.

What if it rains?

We play rain, hail or shine – we don’t even charge extra for the mud!

Exactly how safe is the sport?

Contrary to what some people think, paintball is an extremely safe sport, provided a few simple rules are adhered to. Goggles must be worn at all times while playing on the field. Many players leave NPF with a greater understanding and respect for Firearm Safety. All of our Game Managers are trained and qualified in safe operation of the guns.

There is always at least one Senior First Aider on duty at any time. Not that you need to worry as NPF has an excellent safety history.

Who controls the games?

Fully trained and qualified Game Managers accompany your group throughout your stay at NPF. Game managers are primarily safety professionals and are dedicated to ensuring all rules and concepts of each mission are fully understood and carried out. They monitor fair play and as most of them are keen paintball players themselves, they are always happy to give a few tips so that you get the most out of your game.
